Okotoks, AB (February 4, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers have announced that they have made a trade with the Coquitlam Express, sending 2005-born forward Brady Engelkes (Middleton, WI) for Future Considerations.

Engelkes joined the Green and Gold at the start of this season and became a name around the rink quickly with his quick skating, laser shot, playing with a chip on his shoulder, amongst more. Engelkes really turned it on for the Green and Gold since the BCHL holiday break, as he posted 10 points (4G, 6A) in nine games. From January 13 to 25, the Oilers would play three games where Engelkes produced a total of seven points (1G, 6A), which included three assists in the game against Brooks, where the Green and Gold broke the regular season curse over the Bandits as he assisted on Michael Kowalski’s (Chicago, IL) game-winner.

Engelkes, who put up 26 points (11G, 15A) in 35 games, was not only a stud on the ice, but he also put in his time off the ice with volunteering around the community, wearing the Oilers jersey with pride, and helping the youth with their passion for hockey.

The Okotoks Oilers Organization thanks Engelkes for his contributions off the ice as well as around the community and wishes him success as he continues his hockey path with the Coquitlam Express.
