Okotoks, AB (March 1, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers couldn’t solve the Warriors for a second time in a row, falling 4-0 in West Kelowna last night to close out their two-game road trip to B.C.
Justin Giguère (Saguenay, QC) was a bright spot again for the Oilers in his second game in as many nights, as well as his second game against the Warriors, as he made 32 saves on the night, including 16 in the second period. Giguère made 64 saves over the weekend road trip. The BCHL’s top netminder and BCHL All-Star Angelo Zol made the start in net for the Warriors.

The Warriors now lead the season series 2-1 over the Green and Gold, with each win coming from the home team so far during the 2025-2026 BCHL season series.
Blake Burke opened the scoring around the midway mark of the opening period, followed by former Vernon Viper and BCHL All-Star, Liam Nilsson, getting the Warriors ahead by two just over a minute into the second period. Max Dinneen would make it 3-0 before the second came to a close, and Nilsson grabbed his second of the game while on the power play with less than three minutes left in the third period to close it out.
The Oilers and Warriors will meet one more time this season, with the game being played on March 28 at Viking Rentals Centre in the Oilers’ final game of the 2025-2026 BCHL regular season.
The Green and Gold will be back on home ice on Friday when they host the Blackfalds Bulldogs at 7:05 p.m. MST.
