Okotoks, AB (February 7, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers are back at home tonight against the Spruce Grove Saints as the two teams will meet for the sixth time this season.

The season series between the two this season has gonein favour of the Green and Gold as they have three wins over the Saints and only fell in one of the two losses to Spruce Grove in regulation as the Oilers picked up a point in their first meeting on October 25, 2025, which went to an 11th round shootout.

With a win in regulation tonight, the Oilers can move seven points behind the Saints while still holding two games in hand over their Interior East Division rivals as the playoff push is in full gear.

The last time the two met, the Oilers took the 5-2 win in Spruce Grove. Josh Wiebe (Calgary, AB) was awarded the game’s first star after potting two goals, including the game-winner in the second period, and an assist. Nate Porter (Hingham, MA) would earn the second star of the game with two points (1G, 1A), and Eric Young (Mill Bay, BC) would make 25 saves.

Justin Giguère (Saguenay, QC) is expected to make his first start at Viking Rentals Centre tonight, after an impressive 30-save performance against the West Kelowna Warriors on January 28.

Puck drop for tonight’s tilt is set for 7:05 MST at Viking Rentals Centre.
