Okotoks, AB (September 29, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers are excited to announce the acquisition of local talent and former Okotoks Oilers Minor Hockey player Luc Trevors (Langdon, AB) from the Cranbrook Bucks in exchange for the playing rights to 2008-born forward Ryan Boyce (Calgary, AB).
Trevors, who is a 2006-born forward, is no stranger to the area and his now-current teammates, as he has played with both alternate captains Conner Radke (Langdon, AB) along with Nolan DuPont (Calgary, AB), as the three reunite for their final year of junior hockey with the Green and Gold.
Trevors first started with the Okotoks Oilers Minor Hockey, playing parts of a season with the AEHL U16 AAA and U18AAA during the 2021-2022 season, where he would play with Radke on the U18 AAA squad. The two would play a full season together the following year, with Trevors posting 37 points (15G, 22A) in 38 games.
During the 2024-2025 season, Trevors would lift the Centennial Cup with DuPont while playing for the Calgary Cauncks, accumulating 16 points (8G, 8A) in 13 playoff games.
Last season, Trevors found himself with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL, appearing in 66 regular season games and eight playoff games with a combined 16 points (6G, 10A) with the team named after Calgary wrestling legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
Oilers GM and Head Coach Tyler Deis and his staff are excited to bring in another local talent.
“We are excited to be bringing in another local guy; he is someone we think adds to what we are building this season and fits with the group we have. He knows some of the group here already, and we feel Luc will slot into our lineup nicely,” Deis said about Trevors.
Trevors has already put in time this season with the Bucks, as he’s produced three assists in just four games so far this season.
