Okotoks, AB (January 31, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers and the Silverbacks meet for the second time this season, and the first time in Salmon Arm tonight in the province of British Columbia.

Joey Meredith (Toledo, OH) found success against the Silverbacks back on November 29, 2025, at Viking Rentals Centre as he posted his first-ever BCHL hat trick, along with collecting an assist on the opening goal for a four-point night, and playing a key factor in a 5-2 win over the Silverbacks. Meredith earned the first star for his efforts. Captain Brett Wilson (Calgary, AB) earned the third star in the previous game as he collected a pair of assists.

Eric Young (Mill Bay, BC) is expected to make the start for the Green and Gold tonight after backstopping the Oilers to a win last night with 36 saves. Young earned the second star against the Silverbacks in their last meeting as he shut the door another 36 times while facing 38 shots.

Tonight’s game will be the final game of the Oilers four-game road trip, where they have gone 2-1 with a win last night in Vernon, along with breaking the curse against Brooks last Saturday and coming up just short in a 1-0 game against the BCHL Interior West Division’s top team, the West Kelowna Warriors.

Puck drop for the game between the Oilers and Silverbacks is set for 7:00 p.m. MST in Salmon Arm.
