Okotoks Oilers announce 2024-25 regular season schedule

OKOTOKS, AB (June 20, 2024) — The Okotoks Oilers have released their schedule of 52 games (26 home, 26 road) for the 2024-25 BCHL regular season.

The 2024-25 season will be the Oilers’ 20th in operation, and the first full campaign since officially joining the BCHL. The Oilers will play in the BCHL’s Interior East Division, competing against the Blackfalds Bulldogs, Brooks Bandits, Cranbrook Bucks, Sherwood Park Crusaders, and Spruce Grove Saints.

The Oilers will kick off the 2024-25 regular season with a home-and-home set against Brooks on September 20 and 21. The Bandits defeated the Oilers in seven games in the 2024 BCHL Alberta Division semifinals.

From there, the Oilers will play their first-ever game against a British Columbia-based opponent on September 27, when they take on Cranbrook at Western Financial Place. The Oilers will complete their September slate of games the following night when they welcome the Bucks to Okotoks Centennial Arena.

The Oilers will play seven games in October, nine in November, seven in December, eight in January, eight in February, and nine in March. The team will conclude its regular season on March 30 with a road game against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

Between February 8-21 and March 15-29, the Oilers will play season-long four-game home stands. The Oilers will face off against the BCHL Alberta Division and Rocky Mountain Challenge champion Brooks Bandits six times during the regular season: September 20, February 15, and March 29 at home; September 21, November 8, and March 14 on the road.

The 2024 BCHL champion Surrey Eagles will visit Okotoks on November 30 for their lone matchup against the Oilers in the regular season. The Oilers will take on the BCHL finalist Penticton Vees, captained by former Oiler Conyr Hellyer, at home on March 22 and on the road on October 4 and December 29.
