OKOTOKS, AB (February 23, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers can enter seventh place in the BCHL Interior Conference with a win over the Spruce Grove Saints this afternoon.

Currently, the Green and Gold sit one point behind the West Kelowna Warriors, who have played 45 games to Okotoks’ 42 games played. With a win, not only would they jump the Warriors, but they would extend their lead on the Saints as Spruce Grove trails the Oilers by three points before Sunday’s (Feb. 23) afternoon tilt at Grant Fuhr Arena.

The Oilers and the Saints have met four times during the 2024/2025 BCHL season, with Okotoks coming away with three wins out of the four games. The Saints took the first meeting back on December 6, 2024, but the Oilers strung three wins in a row against the Saints and have outscored Spruce Grove 22-14 in the process.

Spencer Rheaume (Beaverlodge, AB), former Saint Teo Pisani (St. Albert, AB), and Michael Kowalski (Chicago, IL) all had game-winners in the past three games against Spruce Grove.

The afternoon game marks the second last time the Oilers and Saints will meet this season with the final game being played on March 7, in Spruce Grove.

Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. MT at Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove.
