Okotoks, AB (September 20, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers are on the road tonight for Brooks as they are scheduled for their first away game of the 2025-2026 BCHL season against the Bandits.

The Green and Gold played three preseason games against the Bandits before the start of the regular season last night. The Oilers took the first meeting 6-2, the Bandits would take the second game in Brooks, and then both teams would need extra time to solve the third game; Brooks would come out on top with an overtime win.

The Oilers dropped the first game of the season to the Sherwood Park Crusaders last night (Sept. 19), but no fault could be pointed at Ben Vatis (Vancouver, BC) as he made 45 saves on 50 shots.

Nine different Oilers got points in the home opener against the Crusaders, with five of them coming from new faces in the Oilers organization.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. MST in Brooks.
