Okotoks, AB (March 28, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers enter tonight with some momentum after beating the Sherwood Park Crusaders last night in a thrilling 6-5 overtime win thanks to Holden Pajor’s (Eden Prairie, MN) heroics.

The last time the West Kelowna Warriors were in Okotoks, Oilers assistant captain Luke Calabria (Huntington, NY) picked up the game-winner in overtime as the Green and Gold in a 3-2 win on October 4, 2025. Since then, the two have met another two times this season, with both coming in West Kelowna. The Warriors took the 2-1 season series lead over the Oilers in those games, winning 1-0 and 4-0.

Patrik Kliment (Banska Bystrica, Slovakia) is expected to make the start tonight after picking up his first win in an Oilers uniform last night in the 6-5 overtime win. Kliment would help keep the Oilers in the game after making possibly the save of the 2025-2026 BCHL season as he made a stick save on the goalline.

Oilers assistant captain Michael Kowalski will be a player to watch tonight as he’s suiting up for his final junior hockey game before he heads to Hamilton College next season. Assistant captain Joey Meredith (Toledo, OH) will also be hitting the ice for his final game as an Oiler, with his junior career coming to a close at the end of the season. Ryder de Nys (Canmore, AB), Hunter Sawka (Cochrane, AB), and Calabria will all be in attendance as they follow Kowalski and Meredith in closing out their junior careers.

Tonight, before puck drop, the Oilers Organization will honour the 2005-born players by handing them an Oilers uniform for a keepsake. The Green and Gold will also be announcing the award winners for MVP, Hardest Working Oiler, Top Forward, Top Defenceman, and the Greg Wedderburn Award prior to puck drop.

The Green Army can expect giveways throughout the night as the Oilers Organization wants to give back to the fans who have come out and support the team throughout the sesaon.

Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. MST at Viking Rentals Centre.
