Okotoks, AB (February 13, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers will be in action three times over the next four nights during Valentine’s Day weekend, with the first coming tonight at Viking Rentals Centre against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

This weekend, the Oilers are celebrating the players’ parents with a special “Parents’ Weekend”. The Green and Gold will highlight the time, effort, love, care, and much more that the parents of each player bring not only to their kids, but to the Okotoks Oilers Organization.

Tomorrow night, on Valentine’s Day, there will be no love lost as the Oilers Interior East Division rivals, the Sherwood Park Crusaders, visit Okotoks for the first time since the Green and Gold’s home opener. The Oilers will have Sunday off, then travel to Brooks on Monday to face the Bandits. The Oilers’ parents are expected to make the trip to Brooks to cap off the weekend celebrations.

The Oilers and Silverbacks currently sit tied in their season series, with the Oilers taking the first meeting 5-2 thanks to the heroics of Joey Meredith (Toledo, OH), who recorded four points, including a hat trick. Salmon Arm took the most recent game 3-0, as both teams have accumulated five goals in the two previous games played this season.

The Green Army will be introduced to some new faces tonight, including Matthew Hikida (Richmond, BC), as he’s projected to play on the same line as his cousin, assistant captain Jamie Hikida (Richmond, BC). Jamie also enters the game with hot hands as he produced four points (2G, 2A) in two games last weekend.

Holden Pajor (Eden Prairie, MN) will be another player to watch as he has accumulated four points (2G, 2A) in as many games. Michael Kowalski (Chicago, IL) was all over the ice in the Oilers’ last game on Saturday as he potted two goals and will look to continue to produce tonight against the Silverbacks.

Puck drop for tonight’s game is set for 7:05 MST at Viking Rentals Centre.

Tickets for tonight’s game are still available and include a Valentine’s Day special discount with two tickets priced at $26 ($13 each) at: https://tickets.okotoksoilers.com/events/37877-salmon-arm-silverbacks-vs-okotoks-oilers
