OKOTOKS, AB (April 8, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers are poised to climb back in the first-round series as they host game three against the Penticton Vees at Viking Rentals Centre on Tuesday night (April 8).
The Oilers have yet to find the back of the net in the series as they have heavily relied on Olivier Ciarlo (Laval, QB) to stop pucks. Ciarlo in two games has made a combined 69 saves to help give the Oilers a chance in games one and two. Ciarlo is expected to make the start in game three for Okotoks.
Ryden Evers for the Vees leads the series in points with four after accumulating a goal and three assists in the two games played so far. Former Oiler and current Vees captain Conyr Hellyer was held off the board in game one but added two assists in game two to help the Vees conquer the Oilers.
With the Vees currently holding a 2-0 lead in the first round of the 2025 Rogers BCHL Playoffs over the Oilers, games three and four are important ones as the Green and Gold look to tie things up and send the series back to Penticton.
The Oilers finished the season with a 14-11-2-0 record at home and will look to continue that success at Viking Rental Centre Tuesday night as they attempt to climb back in the first-round series against the Vees.
