OKOTOKS, AB (September 3, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers open up the 2025-2026 BCHL preseason tonight at Viking Rentals Centre when they host the Blackfalds Bulldogs at 7:05 p.m. MDT.
The Green Army can expect to see a healthy mix of new and familiar faces this preseason as many players are trying to earn a spot on the final roster come the Oilers’ season and home opener against Sherwood Park on September 19th.
Last season, the Oilers and Bulldogs split the season series at three games apiece. The Oilers would win the first three games against Blackfalds, while the Bulldogs took the final three games.

Tonight’s game will also mark the first time Oilers fans will witness Corban Knight behind the bench as Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development.
The Oilers will play a total of five preseason games, including the matchup tonight against the Bulldogs. Out of the five preseason games, four will be played at Viking Rentals Centre as the Trail Smoke Eaters will visit on Friday (Sept. 5), the Brooks Bandits will make an appearance on Sunday (Sept. 7) and on September 13. The one road game will be played in Brooks on September 12 against the Bandits.
