OKOTOKS, AB (September 7, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers are set to face the reigning Fred Page Cup champions, the Brooks Bandits, tonight at 5:35 p.m. MST at Viking Rentals Centre.
The bitter rivals meet for the first time this preseason, with two more games against each other to follow next week. Last season, the Oilers were unable to solve the Bandits, but with coaching changes and a new roster, both teams will look to figure each other out for the next three games.
The Oilers have posted a 1-1-0 record during the preseason so far, with a 4-1 win on Friday (Sept. 5) against the Trail Smoke Eaters and the first loss coming at the hands of the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Wednesday (Sept. 3), even though Okotoks outshot the Bulldogs 34-27.
The puck drops for the first of three preseason games against Brooks tonight at 5:35 p.m.
