OKOTOKS, AB (November 27, 2024) — Okotoks Oilers captain Jackson Rowland (Calgary, AB) has been named the team’s representative at the 2025 BCHL All-Star Weekend in Salmon Arm.
Rowland, 20, will take part in the league’s All-Star Tournament and Skills Competition as well as a selection of community events in and around Rogers Rink in Salmon Arm between January 17 and 19, 2025.
In 13 games with the Oilers to start their first full BCHL season, Rowland has seven goals and 10 points. The 5’11”, 180-pound forward has not played since November 8 while recovering from an injury.
The Oilers named Rowland captain on September 20 to replace graduated forward Dean Spak (Calgary, AB), now of the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Rowland’s older brother, Ethan, skated in 32 regular season and playoff games with the Oilers during the 2022-23 campaign.
The full Coastal and Interior rosters for the BCHL All-Star Weekend can be found here. Additionally, the BCHL is holding a fan vote from November 28 until December 4 to determine the final three players who will attend the All-Star Game.
