Clayton debuted with Green and Gold during the Oilers’ first full season in the BCHL last year, earning the “A” as a leader come opening puck drop for the start of the 2024-2025 season. He appeared in 53 games, accumulating 16 points with two goals and 14 assists. Clayton had four multi-point nights while playing for the Oilers.

Before joining the Oilers, the defenceman started his junior career against the Green and Gold as he played four seasons with the Drumheller Dragons of the AJHL. During his full junior career, Clayton would appear in a total of 153 games between the AJHL and BCHL, accumulating 11 goals and 48 assists for 59 points.

Clayton was no stranger to the Okotoks area, as the Strathmore product played three seasons with the Okotoks Oilers U15, U16, and U18 AAA programs.

The Okotoks Oilers Organization recognized Clayton’s contributions to the team in his final junior year by not only earning the “A” but also being awarded as the Oilers’ Top Defenceman at the end of the season.
