Okotoks, AB (February 27, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers will visit the Silverbacks in Salmon Arm for the final time during the 2025-2026 BCHL campaign as they aim to tie the season series with the Interior West Division squad.

The Oilers took the first meeting against the Silverbacks on November 29, 2025, with a 5-2 win at Viking Rentals Centre. Joey Meredith (Toledo, OH) was a monster in the win as he had a four-point night with a hat trick, including picking up the game-winning goal in the second period. The Silverbacks took the next two meetings and only allowed one goal against, with Nate Porter (Hingham, MA) finding the back of the net.

While the Oilers have struggled to get into the win column as of late, Salmon Arm is finding the same luck, as they have lost four games in a row and have been scored on 22 times in that span.

A player to watch tonight is BCHL All-Star Jordan Murray (Decker, MB), as he has potted two goals in the last three games. Justin Giguere (Saguenay, QC) is expected to make the start tonight after Patrik Kliment (Banska Bystrica, Slovakia) made four straight starts.

Game time is set for 8:00 p.m. MST in Salmon Arm tonight.
