Okotoks, AB (December 6, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers and Spruce Grove Saints are set to meet for the third time this season, with both teams coming away with a road win.
The first meeting took extra time to resolve, as the Saints won 5-4 in an 11-round shootout. The Oilers would hand the Saints a receipt in Spruce Grove on November 15, with Eric Young (Mill Bay, BC) picking up his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 win.
The Green and Gold currently sit two points behind the Saints in the Interior East Division standings for the coveted fourth seed; however, Okotoks does hold a game in hand over its northern rivals.
In the last five games, the Saints have been slipping as they hold a 1-3-1 record compared to the Oilers, who have gone 3-2-0 in that span. When looking at the past 10 games, the Saints have also been struggling with a 3-6-1 record, while the Oilers have played .500 hockey with a 5-5-0 record.
Michael Kowalski (Chicago, IL) will be a player to watch for the Oilers as he has a combined three points (1G, 2A) in two games against the Saints this season. The Green and Gold have also been able to keep former Oiler Spencer Rheaume off the scoreboard, as he’s gone pointless in their two previous meetings.
Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. MST at Viking Rentals Centre.
