Okotoks, AB (September 13, 2025) – The Okotoks Oilers close out the 2025-2026 BCHL preseason with their third meeting in a row against long-time rival, the Brooks Bandits, tonight at Viking Rentals Centre.
The Oilers and Bandits have split the three-game preseason series at one game apiece, with Okotoks taking the first game 6-2 on September 7 at home and the Bandits earning the win last night (Sept. 12) in Brooks.
The Green and Gold have scored nine goals against Brooks in the two games played, with each marker coming from a different player. Tonight will be a true test for the remaining players on the Oilers who are looking to crack the squad this year, as the home and season opener for the 2025-2026 BCHL season is scheduled for September 19.
Puck drop for tonight’s tilt is set for 7:05 p.m. MST at Viking Rentals Centre.
