Okotoks, AB (January 30, 2026) – The Okotoks Oilers head to Vernon tonight to face the Vipers for the last time during the 2025-2026 BCHL season.

The Green and Gold hold the season series 2-1 as they split the games played at Viking Rentals Centre, along with the Oilers taking the last meeting on January 3, in Vernon, with a 6-3 dominant performance. Okotoks would heavily outshot the Vipers in the previous game, as they peppered Vernon with 48 shots, while holding the Vipers to only 25 shots on goal.

Brady Engelkes (Middleton, WI) will be a player to watch as he has scored in all three games against the Vipers so far this season. Captain Brett Wilson (Calgary, AB) also has had hot hands against the Vipers, as he has scored in each game and has posted five points (3G, 2A) in the three games played.

Eric Young (Mill Bay, BC) is expected to make the start in goal after Justin Giguère’s (Saguenay, QC) impressive 30-save performance against the West Kelowna Warriors on Wednesday night.

Tonight will mark the third game for the Oilers on their current road trip, which has seen them break the curse against the Brooks Bandits along with a nail-biter against the Warriors, falling 1-0 against the Interior West Division’s top team.

Puck drop for today’s game is set for 8:00 p.m. MST in Vernon
