The Okotoks Oilers pulled one out of the hat on Sunday afternoon at the Okotoks Centennial Arena by defeating the Fort McMurray Oil Barons 6-5.
The Oil Barons were playing their third game in less than three nights and it showed in the first period when the Oilers jumped out to a 4-1 lead.
Fort McMurray found their legs in the second by coming back to tie the game at 4 and even pulled ahead in the third period by a goal but Okotoks were not to be outdone.
Scoring for the Oilers were Cody Dion, Kyle Reynolds with 2, John McInnis, Ben Gamache and Jordon Principalli.
