Okotoks hosted a very successful World Junior A Challange Evaluation Camp from September 27-29th. at the Okotoks Centennial Arena.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League, in partnership with Hockey Canada and the Canadian Junior Hockey League had the top 40 players from the five western leagues of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) ,(BCHL, AJHL, SJHL, MJHL, SIJHL) showing their skills through practices and at two intersquad games at the Okotoks Centennial Arena.

Representing the Okotoks Oilers of the AJHL were Derek Rodwell and Rodger Craig.

The final roster for the World Junior A team in Summerside, P.E.I from November 1st – 8th, 2009  will be announced in mid-October.
