The Okotoks Oilers have traded the CHA/AJHL rights of Roger Craig to the Grande Prairie Storm for the CHA/AJHL rights of Nolan Huysmans.
The Okotoks Oilers have also announced they have acquired the CHA/AJHL rights of Brad Ryan from the Fort McMurray Oil Barons for the CHA/AJHL rights to Gui Glasspoole.
Leaving the Okotoks Oilers is forward Rodger Craig. In two seasons with the Oilers, Rodger played 82 games compiling 12 goals and 17 assists while attaining 29 minutes in penalties. We all wish Rodger the best of luck and great success with his new team.
Also leaving the Okotoks Oiler family is 17 year old rookie Gui Glasspoole. Gui played 2 games with the Oilers last season and scored one assist. The 6'2" forward will be a great addition to the Oil Barons and we wish him the best of luck and sucess with his new team.
Coming to the Oilers is rookie forward Nolan Huysmans who played 21 games for the Grande Prairie Storm this season and scored 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points and 6 PIM.
Also coming to the Oilers is defenseman Brad Ryan, a 19 year old veteran of the AJHL playing with the Calgary Canucks for the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons. In 111 games with the Canucks, Brad scored 7 goals and 29 assists with 270 PIM. Brads most recent stint with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons was 35 games scoring 3 goals and 10 assists with 61 PIM.
