The Okotoks Oilers head north for the last time this season for 3 games in 3 nights in some tough buildings. The Oilers are coming off a 5-3 road win at the Father David Bauer Arena in Calgary against the Royals on Wednesday night. Can they continue the momentum?

 The weekend starts in Lloydminster against the Bobcats on Friday night. The Bobcats are having their difficulties this season and are presently on a 6 game losing streak. The Oilers have beaten the Bobcats on both of their games this season, 9 to 1 at home in Okotoks and 5 to 3 in Lloydminster. Even with their new coach Brian Curran, this team sits 7th. in their division. Their goals against average is second worse in the league. A 7:30 start at the Centennial Civic Arena in Lloydminster.

 The Oilers move over to Spruce Grove for a game against the powerful Saints on Saturday night. The teams have split both games played to date by a 3 to 2 score. The Oilers play the Saints tough, but expect a low scoring game. Spruce Grove are currently on a 4 game winning streak. A 7 p.m. start time at the Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove.

 The Oilers complete the tough weekend with an afternoon game against the Sherwood Park Crusaders at 2:15 on Sunday afternoon. In their only meeting this season, the Crusaders defeated the Oilers 5-2 at the Okotoks Centennial Arena a few weeks back. Sherwood Park is in 5th. place in the Northern Division with 34 points.

 The Oilers have hit the half way mark of the season, playing 30 games. They have a 17-12-0-1 record and are presently tied with Brooks with 35 points and just 4 points  behind second place Canucks. It's a tight race in the South Division and every point the Oilers get goes a long ways to finishing in top spot.
